Charter Buses Reducing Smog Pollution

There are many ways of influencing the environment in a more positive direction than in the past. For instance, one might recycle, allowing that cardboard, glass bottles, and plastic containers to be reused in the future for other products. There are other way as well, such as reducing carbon dioxide emissions by switching to renewable energy.

Many care a great deal about the environment. It was brought to the attention of a number of people through the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” wherein Al Gore shares his “passion” for environmental work and introduces the viewer to new concepts such as carbon dioxide emissions and the heating up of the Earth, otherwise known as global warming.

Global warming has become a hot button term in the past ten years or so, as many individuals argue against the Al Gore and global warming phenomenon by calling these people “alarmists” and say that this heating cycle is not worse than it has been in the past.

These people cite scientists who have said that this issue is not an issue, it has been happening millennia.

Those that support the fight against global warming will point to the fact that these scientists are following a pattern to discredit global warming in the same way that scientists did so for cigarettes and tobacco way back in the 1950s. False advertisement and taking over science by “soothsayers” is a difficult issue in American advertising.

For those that think global warming is a phenomenon and an issue that needs to be addressed, there are numerous ways in which an individual can lessen their carbon dioxide footprint and be a more natural “citizen” of the Earth. For instance, it is possible to lower a carbon footprint by switching to more renewable energy technology.

It is possible to “green” a house to use less electricity and less energy products that are based on fossil fuels, such as natural gas or coal. It is possible to make a house run for more efficiently when it comes to electricity, water, and gas. It is possible to conserve electricity and other natural resources.

Of course, there are many countries that are looking to stop some of these issues with different solutions. In India, they are fighting against the smog caused by pollution with water sprays mixed with chemicals. When they are shot into the clouds, the clouds deteriorate and fall to the ground, reducing the amount of pollution.

There are many people study polar ice caps and Greenland to determine when or if these ice glaciers will collapse, causing a rise in the Earth’s temperatures. There is an issue with the rise of deadly storms that follow patterns that are not entirely predictable nowadays. There are storms that draw in the heat from the ocean and strike cities with force.

Then there is the possibility of motorcoaches, which can reduce pollution significantly. There are some statistics worth considering. They are:

Motorcoaches are 3 times more efficient in reducing CO2 output when compared to commuter rail, and 6 times more efficient than transit buses.

Each full motorcoach has the potential of removing 55 autos from the highway, reducing congestion, cutting energy use, and reducing emissions.

Motorcoaches emit the least carbon dioxide per passenger mile when compared to other forms of transportation.

Motorcoaches have value even beyond the environmental studies. They have value when it comes to the economy too. Every $1 invested in new motorcoaches generates an additional $1.65 of spending throughout numerous sectors of the economy, for a total of more than $1.2 billion spent on tour and travel each year.

And motorcoaches infuse tourism dollars into every community. A single motorcoach spending one night at a destination generates up to $11,660 for that local economy in lodging, meals and other spending. They are big on helping the economy of local communities they travel into.

Then there is the charter bus. A charter bus is a bus that is chartered by one person or a group of people to go to a specific destination. A charter bus aims to make travel in a motorcoach more private compared to a public bus, which makes it good for groups. A charter bus can be ritzy or be less ritzy but the privacy is important.
